Trauma & PTSD

Trauma happens at least once to everyone at some point in our lives, some more severe or prolonged than others. Many people are dealing with symptoms of #PTSD or #C-PTSD without realizing it. This occurs because of the belief that PTSD is only caused by a major one time event such as horrific car accident or natural disaster but in reality, trauma can be caused by exposure to various forms of repeated abuse or adverse childhood experiences that can be unsconscious in adults. Yoga can bolster trauma recovery by supporting emotional regulation, focused attention, & body awareness—all essential components to healing trauma.
